“Bark and roots”
First step of an ongoing project which link nature and human.
Nature and man, although apparently robust, are inherently fragile. The bark of trees and human skin, these protective envelopes, are both witnesses of life and guardians of memory. The bark cracks under the effect of weather and the passage of time, just as human skin ages and is marked with traces of existence. This fragility, visible on the surface, is a reflection of a deeper vulnerability to external aggressions.
“Bark and root” is a visual meditation on this shared fragility and the urgency of preserving it. The similarities between the marks of time on the bark and on the skin remind us that beauty lies in imperfection and in the ability to resist and rebuild. This exhibition encourages us to recognize our role in protecting nature and humanity, to see the inextricable links that unite us and to act to maintain the balance and health of our planet and our bodies.
